Kathy Marcus is currently working on Phase III of George O. Jackson Jr.’s collection. She has edited the collection for the Smithsonian and continues to edit for the core photos to be used for exhibits and books. She is the former Photo Editor and Sr. associate Art Director for Texas Monthly magazine. She has photo edited books and curated an exhibit for the State Department (Rebuilding Hope: which explored gender issues in Afghanistan, Iraq and the tsunami affected countries). Kathy was also art director for Watermelon Records and has worked with musicians in packaging their music. She has won awards in the Society of Publication Designers, Art Directors Club of New York, American Photography and PRINT magazine. She lives in Austin, Texas and has a freelance business for both design and photo editing.
