1993 Winner of a $25,000 U.S./Mexico Fund for Culture grant created and sponsored by Fundacion Cultural Bancomer, Mexico’s Fondo Nacional Para La Cultura y las Artes, and The Rockefeller Foundation. The grant is to photograph and produce a traveling international exhibit on the rituals of propitiation and sacrifice in festivals for rain, growth, and first fruits, encompassing the vital growing period between April and October among eleven indigenous cultures in Southwestern Mexico.
